Wizard World Los Angeles, which runs Friday through Sunday (March 14-16,) will be the first stop of Avatar Press’ yearlong tour with Wizard World 2008! And Avatar is coming out the gate full throttle…
Attending the event courtesy of Avatar Press will be Jacen Burrows, artist from Garth Ennis’ hard-hitting miniseries 303 and Chronicles of Wormwood. Burrows has also worked with Warren Ellis on such series as Dark Blue and Scars, as well as The Courtyard and Yuggoth Cultures by Alan Moore. Fans of the demented fright franchise 2001 Maniacs, which features horror icon Robert Englund, can also meet Tim Sullivan at the Avatar Press booth, the director of the film and writer of the 2001 Maniacs Special comicbook.
Avatar diehards will also have the chance to meet and ask questions of Wizard World guest and Avatar Press Editor-in-Chief William Christensen. A featured event which will be held that Sunday, the Avatar Press Panel runs from 2-3pm and is hosted by Christensen. Fans will get the latest scoop about Avatar’s 2008 new releases, including a preview of Ellis’ ANNA MERCURY. Wizard World LA will also be the first chance for Ennis enthusiasts’ to hear an announcement about this world-class creator’s next original series!
ANNA MERCURY: Prepare For Launch and a special convention exclusive of GRAVEL #1, both with covers by superstar artist Jacen Burrows, will be available only at Wizard World LA and in limited quantities.
