CHRONICLES OF WORMWOOD #1 SOLD OUT!
Avatar Press’ first installment of the new series by Garth Ennis, The Chronicles of Wormwood #1, released in late January, has sold out. The creator of industry favorites like Preacher, and more recently The Boys, will continue his rule over the press as the standard and Visions of Hell covers, both by series artist Jacen Burrows, were hastily consumed off the shelves of local retailers.
Featuring the always provocative imagination and razor-sharp dialogue of Garth Ennis, The Chronicles of Wormwood stars the anti-Christ Danny Wormwood, as well as his father Satan, Joan of Arc, and a mentally-challenged Jesus Christ who has not followed through on his Second Coming. The first issue foretells the coming Armageddon, but many of the key players, including Pope Jacko, are not doing their part to prevent (or begin) the End of Times.

As for future installments of Wormwood Burrows says, “Every issue takes it up a notch. The book gets funnier, darker, and more intense, leading to one of the best endings I’ve read in a long time. It’s really a fantastic read, and response from fans has been terrific.”
