Warren Ellis’ Dark Blue

Here’s a preview section for a project that has been one of Avatar’s best selling graphic novels over the past couple of years — Warren Ellis’ Dark Blue.

Violent, disturbed cop Frank Christchurch has too many problems. He has a partner who’s convinced he’s mentally ill, a commanding officer on smack, and a killer whom no-one else seems to want to catch. The pressure of his savage life is triggering murderous outbursts and hallucinations. Frank Christchurch is on the way down. And he might take everyone with him. Nothing is as it seems. This collected edition features an all-new afterwards by Warren Ellis.

This was the second project Ellis undertook with Avatar, and his first of many collaborations with Jacen Burrows.  Burrows subsequently handled artwork on Ellis’ Bad World and provided spot illos on From the Desk of Warren Ellis Volumes 1 & 2 and Bad Signal, and is currently working again with Ellis on the critically-acclaimed Scars mini series.
