- Ennis’ new Avatar comic CROSSED the line – For the main characters of writer Garth Ennis and artist Jacen Burrows’ Avatar Press miniseries CROSSED (see assorted covers below), the end of the world isn’t nigh; it’s already upon them. With the sudden outbreak of a contagion that produces intersecting lines of blemishes on the victims’ faces has come a psychosis that unleashes the afflicted’s most depraved and murderous impulses.
