There are comics that we read because we “always have” or because its the latest buzz item from our favorite reviewers. ?And then there are comics that are just too good to miss. ? David Lapham’s Ferals is one book that from the start has been superb. ?It takes the strength of Lapham’s crime noir background and combines it with a visceral world and interesting characters to create something wholly original.
Ferals #15 reveals more of the mad Doctor Cherry’s true goals and how far he is willing to go to achieve them. ?To him…Feral people aren’t “people” at all…but animals to do what he pleases with. ?But if there is one thing we’ve learned from seeing Dale Chesnutt’s struggles as a newly Feral man, it’s that no one controls a she-wolf. ?And the good doctor is about to find that out up close and personal.
If you are a fan of strong comic book storytelling – you have to be reading this book. ?Pick up the first trade collection and it will hook you with one of the best horror stories being told today.
