Urbana, IL – Bolt Entertainment, Inc. announced today that it will be producing both an action figure and a trading card series featuring the cult favorite woman-spider character Widow. These items mark the first officially licensed products available for creator Mike Wolfer’s alluring arachnid, published by Avatar Press. Both the Widow Premium Trading Cards and the Widow Collectable Figure will be available for order in October distributor catalogs.

The Widow Collectable Figure includes a variety of features which put it at the forefront of posable figure design. This 7½ inch figure comes with four removable spider legs, has a total of ten points of articulation and includes her special cyberleg as an accessory. The figure will be limited to only 20,000 standard figures. As a special bonus, with every case ordered (6 figures), one figure in the case will be a Blue costume variant included at no extra cost. A metallic gold repaint figure will be available separately. The gold variant will be limited to 6,000 figures.
The Widow Premium Trading Cards features a 90 card series which includes the best new Widow artwork ever on pinups, main characters, rookies and more by stellar talent such as Mike Wolfer, Rick Lyon, Matt Martin, Bill Maus, Karl Moline, Trevlin Utz and others. Special cards include 3 different signed cards, 5 foil enhanced chase cards, and 6 ultra-scarce Red Leather cards. As a special bonus, retailers will receive a Gold Edition of Avatar Press’ Widow #0 for each box of cards ordered. The product will ship 8 cards per pack, 32 packs per box, and 10 boxes per case. It will be limited to 300 cases.
The release of both the Widow Collectable Figure and the Widow Premium Trading Cards coincides with the ongoing saga of Avatar Press’ debut Widow mini series Widow: The Origin. Bolt Entertainment will support the release of this merchandise with advertising in toy and card trade magazines, distributor catalogs, as well as extensive cross-promotional efforts with Avatar Press.
