Crossed: Family Values #1 by David Lapham and Javier Barreno is out in the US and elsewhere soon. What did you think? Let us know in the comments.

We finally received it in Europe after only 1 day of delay due to the volcano ashes… And it looks gorgeous!
And David Lapham's story is twisted but good – love the author and it's great to see him in Garth Ennis's world!

Glad to hear you have Crossed: Fam Values there already, that's less delay than I was expecting due to the ash cloud.

Got the Red Crossed cover. It is greatness. Very intense. The build-up to things going south and then the reveal was one of the the most awesome things I have seen in comics.

Damn. Gotta get to the store!! Props to Lapham and Barreno to continue the carnage. :D

Maybe it´s even better than the one from Garth Ennis. I think i know in which Direction Lapham wants to go…and it makes for an even more intense drama than the first CROSSED story.

Crossed is a amazing comic, it's killing me not to know were they come from but it just keeps me coming back for more. So don't ever tell us… I really like how family values is starting out … Monster against monster. Can't wait for the next issue.

UPDATE – Just picked up the first issue on Wednesday. Looks like it will be a lot bloodier than the first series. :) Keep up the great work, guys.

I think the Crossed don't seem as ominous this time. 20 Crossed was a something to shit your pants over in the original series. But here we see huge amounts of them running at 15 people, and only, what? Four of them where lost? I think you need to give the Crossed the sense of danger they had before, and you'll be golden.

My comic shop guy calls CROSSED the most vile comic he has ever recommended. I concur. It is
a wicked story, but I just can't put the book down when I get it. Can't wait to see “daddy” get what
the crossed see fit to bestow upon him.

As I said in my review of #1

“You know if you don’t want to be offended that’s fine, put down the issue and go read one of your super sissy books, because this book will make you want your mommy. It’s not afraid to go to far, and then piss on that spot and push you into the puddle. Great artwork and a fun horrific story will have me hooked, and if you read Vol. 1 you know you will be reading Vol. 2. A great start that I just have to have more of, NOW!”

Its a more human tone to this one show you dont have to be Crossed to be a wicked monster.
loved the first run and this looks to be just as savage and good

I think it was fucking retarded.
    amazing – but fucking retarded.

it was the best thing to be surprised by when i looked at the shelves. i feel it has massive potential. different but just as desperate. so my question is… where's #2?!

    Brandon — I think you'll feel differently after #2 :)

#2 went to press last week, so it'll be in stores soon.
