We’ve been giving a lot of coverage to the launch of CROSSED: BADLANDS, and rightly so!? The first issue, due out on March 14th (a date we’ll be affectionately celebrating as “C-Day”), marks the return of Garth Ennis and Jacen Burrows to the horror franchise for BADLANDS’ three-issue kickoff storyline.? Well, we’re writing today about the next big thing to happen to CROSSED in the pages of BADLANDS: the debut of Jamie Delano (Hellblazer, Outlaw Nation) into the CROSSED landscape on a six-part story arc entitled “Homo Superior.”
Selected by Diamond Comic Distributors as a spotlighted item in its February Previews catalog, CROSSED: BADLANDS #4 drops the action into the sweltering, gator-infested Florida Everglades, where the dense vegetation and murky shadows hide a few handfuls of survivors from their Crossed pursuers. The three small groups include cyclist Greg and hard-as-nails Steve, young Leon and the homegrown militia headed by his violent father Clint, and the jailbait twins Ashley and Ashlynn. The “Homo Superior” story arc will be illustrated by newcomer Leandro Rizzo, whose fine detail and fearlessly gruesome depictions will no doubt place him in the good company of preceding CROSSED artists (Jacen Burrows, Javier Barreno, Gianluca Pagliarani, and Raulo Caceres).
