Pandora, Razor Cut Crossover Clash

Avatar, London Night Storylines Collide for the First Time in Critical Conflict

Sept. 22 1997, Urbana, IL – Avatar Press, Inc. and London Night Studios announced today that the publishers have reached an agreement to publish their first company crossover with a tale featuring both companies’ flagship characters – Pandora and Razor. Pandora/Razor: Devil Inside #1 will debut in January 1998.

The Pandora/Razor crossover is a natural,” says Avatar Press Editor-in-Chief William A. Christensen, himself a former London Night Studios Managing Editor. “Pandora is a demon hunter. Razor has been driven by demons. The results of their meeting will be explosive – both for the characters and their long-term storylines. Fans who followed Avatar’s first company crossover know that we don’t just shake hands and part ways with business as usual after it’s done. This will have lasting consequences.”

“I’m very pleased to be working with Avatar on this project,” adds London Night Studios publisher Everette Hartsoe. “Avatar brings an intense commitment to both the quality and marketing of whatever they do. These guys don’t just do things half way. Neither do we. That’s what’s gonna make this book kick ass.”

The crossover will be pencilled by fan favorite artist Rick Lyon, and written by William A. Christensen and Mark Seifert. Lyon, one of the indy scene’s top talents, has done extensive work for both publishers. Avatar architects Christensen and Seifert also have a considerable background in the London Night universe, and plan to bring their experience with both companies to weave a tale that will be of major importance to current fans, yet be accessible to fans new to one or both characters.

Pandora/Razor: Devil Inside #1 will be available for order from Avatar Press in November 1997 and will ship in January 1998. Avatar will support the release of the book with distributor catalog advertising, house ads, and targeted promotional mailings, as well as extensive coverage on its web site at http://www.avatarpress.com.
